Tank Container Technician

What will you do?

As a Tank Container Technician at RCR, you will work in the workshop repairing, maintaining, and modifying tank containers and reefers. You will perform both routine tasks and specialized repairs, thereby making a significant contribution to the quality and safety of our containers.

Your responsibilities:

• Repair of (tank) containers and reefers in accordance with specifications
• Performing sheet metal work (repairs and replacements)
• Performing welding work (MIG/MAG)
• Perform cutting and grinding work
• Working on special projects and container modifications
• Conducts the 2.5- and 5-year inspections of our tank containers.

Job requirements

• Vocational high school (MBO) level of work and thinking
• Experience as a mechanic, preferably in the container industry
• Experience with welding, grinding, and cutting
• Proficiency in Dutch
• You can work both independently and as part of a team
• You must follow all applicable safety regulations

Who we are:

RCR is located in Rotterdam’s Botlek district and specializes in modifying and repairing box and reefer containers. From minor adjustments to complete conversion projects, we ensure that every container meets the desired specifications and is ready for use. Customers can also turn to us for technical repairs and restoration work.

We work closely with CETEM and RCC. While they focus on the storage and sale of containers, RCR ensures that these containers are in good technical condition and are customized as needed. Thanks to this partnership, we can respond quickly and provide customized solutions from a single location.
